First semester

This semester have been harder than the others one mostly because I take more classes, and also because I´m doing more things in the University. Probably because of that I have feel these as a really long semester, and maybe also because of the strike the semester its larger,

I don't really think something really good happened this semester. I recently have troubles whit the people of my work group. We did a really good part of the job and the other part very bad so a part of the group fail.

I really think I have´nt achieve anything, maybe its an achieve that probably I´m going to pass all my classes, but I don't really feel that it is something special.

I haven't had time in these semester so I really don't learn to much and just study for the tests, so I don't really enjoy many of my classes in particular; In the beginning of the semester I believe many of these classes would be really good. However I recognise I´ve classes where I learn and get material that really going to serve me in the future.

These was mi last first semester, and probably my last strike in the university if in the second semester nothing happened. I´ve been thinking about my thesis that I´ve to start in the next semester so these have been in my mind pretty much all the semester. These has taken me to think more seriously what I want to do and where I want to work in the future.

Animals and pets

I don't consider myself an animal lover, but I believe that every living thing deserve respect. I didn't have a pet when I was a kid but now I have a dog, it doesn´t have a race and he don't do many things really. I believe that the best pet depend of the person and his context, for example if the person live in a department it would be good to have a little pet. I have known people who have snakes and spiders, so there are a lot of alternatives.

I believe that the use of animals in medical research it´s necessary, but it should be really hard to get to that point. I believe that keep animals in zoo´s could be really bad for some animals, because the owners of them just think in keeping them alive more than their wellness.

I have been bitten be a dog just recently in the street. I believe that dogs should be controlled as well as the persons, who are the main responsables of the problems. 

If I could be an animal I would want to be a bonobo because they have a very good way of live.

Gender

In Chile the sex division of work its the same that in many place of the world: The jobs that require physical capacity and the highest posts in the executive world are for men. Meanwhile the woman's do activities relate to the house (the cooking and cleaning jobs) and the ones who work like professionals now a days don't really occupy high spots.

I believe that this is for many factors. I believe that the times have change so in the future there going to be more females occupying high charges, nevertheless there are areas that are historically for mens and where its going to be more hard to insert a egalitarian policy.

Culturally there are different expectations of boys and girls: in our own culture the man is related to sports and politic, and the women's to the house and the beauty. I believe that the way that the kids are brought up its going to depend at the end of the parents and the values that they have, but I believe that in this process they must know that the way the brought up their children's is something cultural and not natural.

I really think that I'm a typical man, nevertheless I don't do many of the activities like watch football, and I study a social science that it isn´t a man discipline in this days.

I believe that if my parent changed their place it would be pretty hard for my dad, because my mom its the one who work harder in her job while my father only work sporadically.

How green I are...

I'm kind of a green-in-between person: I care about the ecology, but im not an activist.

Many of the things we learn about environment friendly practice are from state propaganda, at least the basic, like don't do fire in the woods, or simple don't throw papers in the ground. The most fun and interesting ways to be ecofriendly I learnt it from the internet, like don't left food cans open because it can be harmful to the animals, or ways to use the water efficiently.

In my family we have a very big bag for when we go to do the weekly purchases, but we end up using more bags. We also try to control the pressure of the water of my house to save water, but we end up breaking a pipe and flooding the house. I usually use a bike frequently, but only when I don't have to study or work because this activity make me expend a lot of energy.

I don't like many eco-organization because i feel that they are more concerned about the nature than of the people. I specially don't like greenpeace because they are now a political force more than a citizen movement, loosing contact with the persons that conform the movement. I believe that being ecofriendly must be something of the subject more than of a big movement whit big actions, its a day a day thing (unless for the case of the big industry projects, that in many time are a threat to all of us)

In Santiago people have to star using their personal vehicles to transport more people, and become aware that the ecology its more than just keep beautiful the landscape, its also about our heal.

Art....

The art have being important since the beginning of the human life. The term art can be understood like every way of expression of the human, so its important to develop it in every person. I enjoy many forms of art, like music, dance, , etc. and others like poetry or paint are more difficult to understood, so I didn't frequent it to much. When i was kid i didn't get the more abstract art so I didn´t like. I don't like to visit art museum because many of them are to expensive for something i really can´t enjoy to much. 

I really don't have any artistic ability at all. In my school i have art classes and I dont really develop any ability 

I really like some modern art, even the weirdest one like of the photo . My favorite art expression is the comic because its associated whit the way of tell a story, so this specific technique its designed to communicate of the best way whit the other persons. I think that every graffiti its a form of art, but many of this are made just to leave a mark, and there are other that born to show the art ability of the artist and many times to express a lot of things, so I think its have more value that others graffitis. I think that art expressions make of human rest could be interest, but it must be whit the respect of the dead. I really like Picasso because his art its develop also in his daily life.

My future job...

I study archaeology and I want to work in this. In this I can work for private, for the state and in investigation. The only bad thing is that there aren´t many "permanent" jobs, there aren´t many jobs whit contratcs. I wanna do research, but this is hard and it doesn´t pay very well all the time.

The archaeology work is essentially outdoor/indoor, in the field recovering material evidence and in the lab analyzing it. I wanna do both things because it´s important the conection betwen this two parts. I wanna travel a lot but in the area that I wanna work, so it should be in relative close places

I wanna follow my study, but for this I need a really specific research. I believe that follow studying is really necesary  in all diciplines because the knowledge it´s always being updated, and in archaeology for all the kinds of work we need to stay informed ot the work development would be wrong

I wanna work close to my where i born, in the south of Chile, but in the begining of this discipline I really dont have many chances of chose the place or even the kind of work im going to do, so I think that this is something for the future

Drugs

I know something about drugs. There are "weak" drugs, like weed or alcohol, and there are "dangerous" drugs. Some dangerous drugs are common like the cocaine, and some others are more weird like heroine and new ones like crocodil; the weird ones usually are hard to produce. Some drugs are "useful", for example the caffeine or nicotine, and some are harmful like the meths; in this last category there are many illegal ones. Both, the "harmful" and "functional" drugs are sometimes equally addictive; also for old civilizations "dangerous" drugs where very important, so if it is functional or not depend of the society.

Of the legal drugs in Chile the nicotine, the alcohol, and the caffeine are legal. The first two nevertheless are controlled by the state, so you can´t sell it to minors and have more taxes.

Marijuana in Chile its relatively highly consumed. It´s illegal to sell it and produce it, but it´s not illegal to consume it. Marijuana shouldn´t be illegal because it´s not harmful. I don´t believe that consume it leads to experiment whit other drugs, because for the people who consume it is know that other drugs could be dangerous.

I believe that if drugs where legal there would be less organized crime. The problem of the crime it´s not about drug, its more about poverty; you can see this because rich people also consume hard drugs and don´t commit this crimes.
